The Auckland Regional Unit for Craniofacial Surgery is based at Starship Hospital. Cleft Lip and Palate surgery is managed at both Starship and Middlemore Hospitals. You are able to access this service by seeing your family doctor to be referred into the public system. It is the best place to manage these issues as it needs a multidisciplinary team to look after children and adults with congenital differences.
